It seems that we are nomads lately. I long for the day when I will have a permanent mailing address and won't have to forward my forwarded mail. Until that day comes, I will have to settle for yet another place to call home. But I have to say that I really do like this apartment. It is in a very nice area in the foothills with a mountain view and is walking distance to a bunch of shops and restaurants. There is a park right across from us, and although I like it a little bit less here since I noticed the park sign that says no dogs allowed, I'll deal because at least nobody can see us at night when we let Katie run free to her heart's content.
Here is our apartment pre-furniture:

This is what you do when you don't have kitchen utensils or furniture. You eat Subway on the floor. They look so sad, don't they?

And finally, we have some furniture. We have a brand-new leather sofa and a coffee table...

...a new bed (notice the make-shift nightstand)...

...a new dresser...
...and the piece de resistance, a 40'' LCD flat screen television (it's in the box in front of the fireplace). Note that we still do not have kitchen utensils or cookware. We may not be able to eat for a while, but darn it, we'll be able to watch American Idol in high-def. It's nice to know that we have our priorities straight, isn't it?
The lovely kitchen

And what I really love...our view:
